Is it just a result of good leadership or is the teams cohesion and performance more important?

In ct, in my study, I examine the relationship between a guild leaders emotional intelligence, effective leadeship and team cohesion.

On a personal note, our guild is comprised of friends who have become mily. Our raid leader became ordained to marry two guildies, the entire guild was invited to the wedding, and we have yearly guild meetups because we genuinely love hanging out with each other.

Sorry for the short answer but from my experiences, everything start with a good GM. He surrounds himself with competent people. He knows how to settle conflicts calmly and intelligently. He is patient with people and has a lot of charisma. He is appreciated by his members. So it makes all members navigate in the same direction and work hard for him.

Not sure if Im a good guy but Im working hard on it…

Good morning, I am the GM of a guild that has been together for approximately ten years. A few things that have proven successful for us we rotate the GM position amongst the five leadership, that leadership is always kept at an odd number for voting purposes, input is encouraged from guild members, all issues are talked about quickly, and unnecessary drama overt and consistent rudeness, personal attacks, asking for items ingame and reallife without offering some form of compensation results in a warning, then a guild kick.

We are a casual progression guild rming Heroic Antorus and working on Mythics and due to our guild composition being primarily adults with jobs and kids, real life always comes first.

Gonna have to back this. Also, to add to it, any time a GM goes inactive and thinks he can relegate everything to his officers, it doesnt work. A missing GM makes new people think the guild is dying or dead. Eventually the officers stop caring too. If the head dies, the body follows.

Overall though, I would say our grit the want to complete things and stay friends/guildies has been the overall contributing ctor to what I consider a very successful guild. What makeswow guild an effective Guild in WoW?
